Emergency and Ambulance

  • A fully equipped ambulance is available for transportation and transfer of patients safely and optimally.
  • Provide expert assessment and management of walk-in patients and patients who arrive by ambulance.
  • Arrange for follow-up care. 

Upon Arrival

Please speak to a receptionist or nurse and state the nature of your medical emergency so you can receive the quickest and best care.

You may be asked to sign in and wait to be assessed by a nurse or you may be taken directly inside, depending on the urgency of your condition.

You or your companion will be asked to register to create a chart to document your care.

Ambulance

Medical issues can arise unexpectedly, even with people who are in relatively good health. Many such illnesses can be treated in an outpatient medical facility. But there are a number of health conditions that require immediate medical assistance. The only correct decision in such cases is to call an ambulance. 

Ambulance services at Chisty Shifa Clinic are your guarantee of health protection in the event of a sudden illness or injury. We provide assistance to children and adults. 

All the ambulances are outfitted with the necessary equipment and a full range of medications that could be needed for administering first aid to patients of all ages. 

The following ambulance services are provided:

  • Transportation of accident victims;
  • Transportation of patients to the clinic for necessary procedures.
  • On-duty ambulance crews at various events (competitions, fairs, concerts, funeral processions, etc.);
  • Transportation of patients from Port Louis region and other regions to the Chisty Shifa Clinic inpatient facility, 

The team works round the clock, seven days a week. If you need an ambulance, call the operator and provide detailed information on the injured or sick person’s condition, and give the exact address or location.

 

Radiology

Radiology is a branch of medicine that employs imaging to diagnose and treat disorders that can be seen in the human body. The Chisty Shifa Clinic's radiology department offers a wide variety of radiology services. Our team of dedicated radiologists, radiographers, and nurses has received extensive training in all areas of radiology and radiography. They work closely together to provide patients with a seamless pathway of care.
The department is equipped with equipment such as Digital X Ray machines, mammography machines and latest technology imaging mobilities such as Computer Topography (CT scan).

 

Dialysis

The clinic offers hemodialysis care for renal patients to get an optimal treatment. It operates 6 days a week and is managed by a team of skillful nurses and doctors. They are also on call 24/7 in case of an emergency.

Lab (24 hours medical laboratory coverage)

Laboratory analysis refers to a comprehensive set of tests performed in order to identify pathogens and to study deviations and changes in tissues and biological fluids of the human body. One of the key fields of medical activity for the assessment of general health, laboratory tests provide almost 70% of the diagnostic information doctors need to properly diagnose and treat a patient.

The fully-equipped, modern laboratory at Chisty Shifa Clinic performs a wide range of tests (hematological, biochemical, hormonal, genetic, etc.) using test systems and reagents, making it possible to obtain reliable results in the shortest possible time.

The laboratory performs a wide range of essential tests:

  • General clinical tests (blood, nasal and throat swabs, urine and feces) including stool analysis for latent blood;
